Dear Families,

As we set sail into the 2025–2026 school year, we are thrilled to welcome your family aboard for another exciting journey of learning, growth, and leadership! Each new year is a fresh opportunity to chart new waters, discover hidden talents, and help every child become the captain of their own ship.

This year, we are especially excited to introduce Leader in Me, a school-wide initiative designed to empower students with the leadership and life skills they need to thrive in today’s ever-changing world. Just like a great crew, we believe every member of our school family has unique strengths and greatness within them. With your partnership, we know our students will go far!

What is Leader in Me?

Leader in Me is a research-based framework that helps students develop essential habits and mindsets that lead to personal and academic success. Through this approach, our school promotes leadership, responsibility, and goal-setting—skills that will serve our students on every voyage of life.

At Riverglades we Believe: Everyone is a leader - Everyone has genius - Change starts with me. We empower students to lead their own learning - Educators and families partner to develop the whole person.

Our Compass: The 8 Habits of Highly Effective People

Throughout the year, your child will learn and practice these habits as part of their daily routine.

Hello Riverglades Family,

I would love to welcome you to the beginning of what I am sure will be a wonderful new school year. As a long-time member of our school’s staff, it is my hope to continue the rich tradition of Riverglades success. Riverglades is fortunate to have a wealth of talented and dedicated instructors supported by a gifted and professional support staff. Our goal is, and has always been, to cultivate a safe environment that builds excitement around the learning process. We endeavor to instill a love of learning in our students while equipping them with an exemplary set of foundational skills. The true secret of our success, however, is you, our community. Those dedicated volunteers who give their time and talent to the cause of supporting the education of all our children are critical to Riverglades success. I am looking forward to working with all our Riverglades family members, new and experienced, towards achieving our vision of educational excellence.

Greetings Riverglades’ Families and Community Members,

It is with great excitement and gratitude that I introduce myself as the new Assistant Principal at Riverglades Elementary School. I am truly honored to be a part of this welcoming school community and support continued growth and learning.

I’m thrilled to be part of our launch of The Leader in Me – a new initiative focused on empowering students to discover their unique strengths and develop lifelong leadership skills. As we begin this journey, I look forward to building a culture of excellence, responsibility, and growth. I can’t wait to see our students lead the way!

Although I will be present on campus during part of the week, please know that I am committed to being available to you and our students all week long. Whether in person, by phone, or through email. I am here to serve and support you. Strong school-family partnerships are at the heart of student success, and I look forward to building those connections together.
