Dear Riverglades Elementary School Parents:
We here at Riverglades are now using the Broward School District’s Business Support Center to handle all school bookkeeping. Payments for field trips and many other school functions will now be accepted only online.
Parents, please remember that the window of opportunity to pay for field trips is now no longer controlled by the school and is not flexible. The payment cut off date given for all field trips is final.
Should you find yourself without the use of a working computer or access to the Internet, please let us know and access to a school computer will be made available to you in our media center for this purpose.
User of the online system must have a Student ID number available before you begin. (All students have been issued a unique Student ID number.) This can be found on their Interim report or their Report cards or contact the school.
To take advantage of the online payment option, please follow the instructions below:
a) Access Estore through the link on this website or access the website directly at estore.browardschools.com
b) Select Elementary and scroll down to Riverglades Elementary
Select the activity that you want to pay online (If the activity does not appear here, payments must be made at the school.)
Follow the Estore prompts. Keep your User name and password in a secure place. We cannot recover your password.
Print out the receipt as proof of the activity payment. Write the confirmation of payment number on your child’s permission form, sign and return it to the teacher.
If your child has a textbook or library book obligation, you will not be able to proceed with your purchase until the obligation is paid.
You will find the online payment option safe, simple, and convenient.
CLASS SIZE AND STUDENT PLACEMENT
Due to the State Class Size Reduction law, students may need to be moved between teachers after the start of school to ensure compliance with the required student limits. These limits are 18 students for Pre-Kindergarten to grade 3; 22 students for grades 4 to 8; and 25 students for grades 9 to 12 in core classes. Please know that students’ needs, will continue to be met through proper instruction and services. Additional information on core classes or anything related to Class Size Reduction is available on the Class Size Reduction website at http://www.broward.k12.fl.us/classsize/.
Become a Volunteer
It takes many helping hands to produce the kind of quality education found at our school. Our volunteers are a crucial part of the total school program. They help classroom teachers, work in the Media Center, help in the clinic, tutor students, and assist with school activities.
Information about how to become a school volunteer is found at www.getinvolvedineducation.com.
The online application must be submitted before you can begin and this application must be filled out each and every year. Click Here to go directly to the application.
